Last Day of Editing


Today, we spent our last day editing our short film. This part was crucial since it was our last day working on it, so we had to work hard. At this point, my group has been well prepared with production. Because of this, we didn't have much left to work on. We began inserting all the shots we refilmed on our last filming day. My group and I cut the shots and adjusted them. We then put them in the order of the scenes so that we could fill in the gaps. We had more than 5 minutes, so of course we next cut the shots to make it equal to 5 minutes. As we were cutting the scenes, we made sure we didn't delete any important footage. We picked from the new options we had from the day we reshot the scenes. We didn't use any of the shots now that we had better ones. We then inserted the music and adjusted it into the short film. Some parts didn't go along with the music, so we adjusted it to connect the audio and video with the music. After these issues were fixed, we decided to go back and review the film. My group and I watched our short film several times. We wanted to ensure that there were no errors or problems with the film. After we made sure everything was included and that there were no issues, we sat back and watched it once more, but to enjoy it this time. We were pleased with how we did counting the journey we had to get to this point. We were able to complete this problem even when Alejandro wasn't always present for half of production. After much time of editing, we completed it and it feels very good.

  Brianna, Macaria and I began planning what our next day of filming will look like. Alejandro did not show up to school today, so we had him on the phone while we discussed. None of the days we were suggesting had worked for all of us. This is because Alejandro insisted that he had to work every possible day. My group and I started to lose hope because Alejandro wasn't doing anything. Brianna, Macaria, and I just decided that we were going to film about half a month between so that we can have time to review all the shots. We want our film to be at its best, so we are trying every possible way to make it good. We already began looking at some shots in our free time separately, but we made sure that we could work together to find a day. Final Task

This project was a very fun experience. My group and I did struggle at the beginning for many reasons. However, we were able to resolve any issues and work together productively. My group and I spent a lot of time creating this project. We hope that people will enjoy our film. I learned many new techniques on how to film and edit due to this project. I’m glad I was able to learn new techniques because I know that I can now use them in future projects.
