Final Task

This project was a very fun experience. My group and I did struggle at the beginning for many reasons. However, we were able to resolve any issues and work together productively. My group and I spent a lot of time creating this project. We hope that people will enjoy our film. I learned many new techniques on how to film and edit due to this project. I’m glad I was able to learn new techniques because I know that I can now use them in future projects.

Last Day of Editing

Image
Today my group and I finished working on the editing process. Our goal was to finish this process today. This is why we went straight to work. Maria is not in town, so we added her into the Facetime call.  This allowed her to participate and to help as well. We did not meet in person because many of us are very busy until late hours at night. Also, we do not live close to each other, so we thought that our parents would drive us to one location to edit. This being said, we all pitched in our ideas on what needed to be changed or added.  We were able to fix everything that we were concerned about. My group and I were very productive and were able to finish adding all transitions.  We also fixed the video quality and many other things. We were finally able to hide Hannah's shadow in the window. We used a video erasing app to help blend Hannah's body into the window. It took a very long time fixing this. However, it was worth the time and effort, because it really worked. We were

Film Review Changes

Image
Today my group and I decided to make the changes to our film. We allowed Mila's mutual friend's cousin to review our film and provide us with feedback last week. We decided to use her feedback to help us improve the film. By allowing her to review our project, this helped us to have a better perspective of how others would feel and react when watching. She told us that we should have refilmed some of the shots. Luckily, they were shots of only me. This made it easier for us because our film was already taking place at my house. I made the time and organized myself to complete this. I had my mom help me refilm the parts that needed to be fixed. I had to retake the shots a couple times until they came out the way we wanted. The friend also recommended that we should have changed the color of our subtitles. This was due to the colors being so similar to the background. We did not think about this when we first chose the color contrast. We also changed the order of some of our shot

Music Update!

Image
Today, my group made our final decision on what music we will be using. I believe that music is a very important part of a film. The music can influence the audience's perception and opinion. Unfortunately, my group and I didn't receive a response back from Hailee Steinfeld. The same happened with Tate McRae. We were worried before because we hadn't gotten a response from either of them. Therefore, we decided to have a backup plan. My group and I agreed that we would use Royalty Free music, just in case. We researched for about a week. We looked for music that we could use from Royalty Free. My group and I found a song that we believe would fit our film well. It is suspenseful and scary. We believe our choice will help engage the viewer. I personally was not fully convinced about the music choice. I would have preferred some of the other options he had. However, my group came up with that decision. I still believe that we can get the best out of this music. I hope that when

Film Review

Today my group and I decided to ask someone that is not part of our group, to review our film. We wanted to hear this person's opinion and thoughts about the film. Therefore, we chose to have a mutual friend's cousin be the person for this role. We think she is very good at providing opinions and input on improvements that modern films should include. Because she does not live in Florida, Mila sent her the film. The last time we met, we started editing by putting all the scenes in order and fitting the limit. We sent it to her as is, to allow her to revise each shot and provide her input on anything that we might be able to improve. We spoke to her about the music and the fonts used for subtitles. We also brought up other aspects of the film that were not included yet. This is because we wanted her feedback for the entire film, even though it was not finished. She mentioned to us that the quality of the film was low. However, this was because iMessage lowers the quality went th
