Cancelling Film Day

Today, my group and I were supposed to film. However, we had to cancel these plans for several reasons. Brianna's sister, Hannah, got sick the day we were going to film. This affected Brianna because we live in a time where Covid-19 and other variants exists. With this being said, Brianna didn't know what Hannah had, so she didn't want to pass whatever Hannah had to Macaria, my mom, or myself. Also, Brianna is the main character and is needed for every scene we were working on, so we would need her to be there to film. We also realized that the person that was going to drive her to my house, can not take her anymore. She tried to find someone else to drive her, but she couldn't find anyone else. Alejandro had expressed a few days ago that he wouldn't be able to go before we had cancelled. Macaria, Brianna, and I got mad and discussed with him about his participation and attendance with this project. We had told him that we didn't appreciate the lack of effort he has for this film and that we have come to the point where we don't even want to send him the work we have complete at the moment. After we cancelled, we told him that we would make a new day to film, but that he will have to show up. If not, he will have a hard time in the future. With the rescheduling, we had to find a new day where we can get everything done. Of course this was difficult because I had a competition coming up within that week, so that meant that my dance studio would want me to spend more time practicing. Macaria's parents were out of town, so she would have to find a ride. She doesn't live close to any of us which is a problem. Brianna has many tests coming up and Alejandro has work most of the time. With this being said, we just decided to film March 6th. We picked tomorrow only so that we can get over with the filming.

  Brianna, Macaria and I began planning what our next day of filming will look like. Alejandro did not show up to school today, so we had him on the phone while we discussed. None of the days we were suggesting had worked for all of us. This is because Alejandro insisted that he had to work every possible day. My group and I started to lose hope because Alejandro wasn't doing anything. Brianna, Macaria, and I just decided that we were going to film about half a month between so that we can have time to review all the shots. We want our film to be at its best, so we are trying every possible way to make it good. Final Task

This project was a very fun experience. My group and I did struggle at the beginning for many reasons. However, we were able to resolve any issues and work together productively. My group and I spent a lot of time creating this project. We hope that people will enjoy our film. I learned many new techniques on how to film and edit due to this project. I’m glad I was able to learn new techniques because I know that I can now use them in future projects.

Last Day of Editing

Today, we spent our last day editing our short film. This part was crucial since it was our last day working on it, so we had to work hard. At this point, my group has been well prepared with production. Because of this, we didn't have much left to work on. We began inserting all the shots we refilmed on our last filming day. My group and I cut the shots and adjusted them. We then put them in the order of the scenes so that we could fill in the gaps. We had more than 5 minutes, so of course we next cut the shots to make it equal to 5 minutes. As we were cutting the scenes, we made sure we didn't delete any important footage. We picked from the new options we had from the day we reshot the scenes. We didn't use any of the shots now that we had better ones. We then inserted the music and adjusted it into the short film.
