Change of Plans for Filming Day


My group and I had planned to film yesterday, but for several reasons, we had to change the original plans. Mila's dance practice was extended for an extra 30 minutes. Maria's soccer game got postponed to an hour later due to bad weather. Lastly, Hannah got sick the day before our scheduled filming day. Same as the other team member, she was unable to meet. We wanted to be productive and avoid wasting time. Therefore, due to the cancellations we organized ourselves to complete what we could. We decided to go on a Facetime call and discussed the new plan of action going forward. We made decisions on how we are going to film the remainder of the project within the next 2 weeks.  We also agreed and scheduled extra days for filming to ensure the project will be timely completed. In addition, we discussed how we are going to edit the final tasks. We unanimously decided which app we will be using to edit. Maria, Mila, and I have planned to film tomorrow, although it is not final yet, to finish the scenes that do not include Hannah in it. She will not be able to make it tomorrow, due to a Judo class she attends on Tuesdays. Most of us have busy schedules and extracurricular activities.  This makes it very difficult for us to find a day and time that fit all our schedules. If everything goes well, we should be able to meet this weekend and film with her. However, if we do get to film tomorrow, the only scenes left would be some clips of Hannah and her sister Brianna. We were still able to complete a lot even though we had to reschedule. Hopefully, we do not need to cancel again in the near future.

Some of the fonts we were planning on using in our film include Alta California , IM FELL Double Pica SC, and Juniper Std. For Alta California, we would use it when we show our names. For example, when we write “Edited by: Hannah and Mila” it would be used on “Hannah and Mila.” It is a sticker-like decorative font that has a rugged look to it. It relates to the film we are creating because it is a story about a girl who has a rugged life and mentality. Also, the font has a youthful feeling attached to it which correlates to how the film is made about teenagers. It also has a scary and mysterious feeling to it, which matches the overall tone of the film. It relates to our thriller genre and emphasizes the mood that we are trying to implement.  For IM FELL Double Pica SC, we would use it for the title descriptions. Music Changes

Today, we spent time picking new music. We messaged Khalid a while ago and he still hasn't seen ut. Since Khalid hasn’t answered our messages, so we didn’t to have any other artist options. My group and I didn’t think Frank Ocean would respond back or even on time. Because of that, we didn't attempt to message him. We started looking for some royalty free music. However, none of the options were good enough for our film in our opinion. We kept finding other ways that we can use so that the music would be good. Since we think music is one of the most important parts of the film. We found some potential ideas. We thought of the idea of remixing a song, so that it wouldn’t be copyrighted. We started editing the song we originally had which was "Coaster." We editing the speed and the sounds in the background to see if we can still use it.
