Editing the Music into the Commercial
Today, October 13, 2021, our class times were modified and were shorter than normal to accommodate testing. However, we tried to use our class time as efficient as possible. We spent some good time making decisions about the music for the video. Our group has had divided opinions for a while as to which song would be the best fit for our video. We each shared our perspectives and why we preferred our song choice and after listening to each other's opinions, we voted and came up with something that we all agreed on. Then, Violet and I thought about creating a voiceover with the music. We discussed it with Mila and Dara decided and they liked the idea. I am glad that it worked that way, because we were able to move on with other details that needed to be considered. The song we selected is called "Tequila." The rhythm of the song seems to catch the audience's attention. We decided we wanted to try recording "Post-It!" toward the end of the song. The idea was to cover the word Tequila and bring up our commercial topic. We spent some time recording this part several times. My group and I edited it into the commercial. We tried changing the tone of voice, the volume, the speed, among other details on Imovie. Whatever we tried, it just did not sound right. After a while, we realized that it was not an easy task as we thought it would be. So we decided to take that song and voiceover out and replace it with a different song. We went into the Imovie songs that they had suggested and found one the fit better. Even though we encountered some obstacles, in my opinion, today was a productive day.
